We celebrated Heritage Day here last Tuesday. In Durban we have so many different cultures and people were wearing their own heritage outfits. I went to the supermarket and the cashier greeted me wearing beautiful Zulu beadwork and a Zulu hat. One of the other Xkosa ladies was wearing a traditional skirt with her matching magnificent scar twirled around her head.
The Indian women were out in all their glorious colourful saris.
There was even a little boy wearing this around his waist, apparently made from goat skin wrapped around rope!
